Edukid filming in Class 5

Today class 5 helped to make a film for Edukid. First they watched some films made by young people who live in Cambodia and then thought of questions they'd like to ask them about their lives.

A handful of prayers

Class 5 have been learning about the different elements of prayer using their five fingers as a reminder to:
1. Praise God.    2. Say thank you to God.    3. Say sorry for any wrong.    4. Ask for help for others and, finally 5. Ask for help for themselves.
They wrote their own prayers on an outline of their hand and decorated them. The finished prayers were then turned in to a display of flowers in our reflective area.

Real dream jars!

Not content with drawing dream jars, class 5 got creative and made some real dream jars too!

Maths this week

In class 5 the children have been reflecting on their learning and have decided their own targets to help them get even better at maths. They have also been working hard on presenting their work methodically and explaining and justifying their answers.

Class 5's Dream Jars

On Roald Dahl Day, Class 5 thought about their dreams - their goals and aspirations for the future.
They then made 'dream jars' to hold their dreams.

Roald Dahl 100 celebrations

Class 5, along with the rest of Key Stage 2, gathered on Tuesday to join in with the Roald Dahl 100 Live Link. We drew along with Quentin Blake, listened to Roald Dahl reading his stories, took part in a quiz about Roald Dahl's life, looked around the Roald Dahl museum and much more.
